Ridgway England Royal Vista Ware Windsor Castle & The Scheldt River Mug Tankard
We are pleased to offer this lovely antique beer or coffee tankard manufactured by Ridgway China of England as one in their Royal Vista Ware Series. This series features scenes from famous painting but the artists are not identified.
The front of this mug pictures listing shallop. A
small rowboat full of men  is dwarfed by the large sailboat with masts. It is entitled "The Scheldt" which is a long river in northern France, western Belgium and the southwestern part of the Netherlands.
The back pictures a view of Windsor Castle on a dark golden brown background with copper lustre trim on the rim, bottom and handle. It has a decorative band of daisies encircling the bottom. It stands 4-7/8" tall. It measures 3-1/4" at the opening and 4-1/4" at the base. It has overall light crackling from age; otherwise it
is in excellent condition with no nicks, chips or cracks. The white spots in the photos are from the flash. Just a lovely piece of vintage Ridgway China that you are sure to want to add to your Royal Vista Ware collection.
